Portfolio Review Terms & Conditions

WHAT IS PORTFOLIO REVIEW?

Portfolio Review is a special one-to-one session between participants and a guest to receive feedback on the participant's work portfolio, which will be commented on by guests during their session.

APPLICATION & SELECTION

• Submission of the Portfolio Review registration form does not guarantee a slot.
• VAX reserves the right to accept or reject any application at its sole discretion, including based on concept, safety, or programme fit.
• All selection decisions made by the Organiser are final and not subject to appeal.
• Selected participants will be notified via the contact details provided at registration.

ELIGIBILITY

• Open to individuals.
• Participants under 18 years of age must have their registration co-signed by a parent or legal guardian.
• Each participant may submit only one (1) entry.

REGISTRATION & SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS

• All participants must register online within the stipulated registration period.
• Participant's portfolio of work that will be presented needs to be shared to the Organiser by the date set by the Organiser. Late submissions may not be accommodated.
• Participants must present their day wristband and proof of registration before being permitted to the portfolio review area

REVIEW GUIDELINES

• All content in the portfolio must be suitable for a general audience and must not touch upon any sensitivities.
• The review session will be held up to 45 minutes, including any additional Q&A apart from the portfolio commentary
• Content must be original, or created with appropriate rights/permission. VAX will not be responsible for any copyright infringement arising from music, video, or other material submitted by the participant, and the participant indemnifies VAX against any such claims.
• Dangerous, illegal, or prohibited content under Malaysian law are strictly not allowed.

SCHEDULING & CHANGES

• VAX reserves the right to modify the review schedules, running order, and time slots as necessary.
• Participants must adhere to the agreed and confirmed time slot and be ready at least 15 minutes before their scheduled slot.
• The Organiser reserves the right to cancel or adjust review slots, if required, including due to safety, technical, or scheduling constraints.

LIABILITY

• VAX shall not be held responsible for any loss, damage, injury, or expenses incurred before, during, or after the event.

MEDIA & PUBLICITY

• VAX reserves the right to photograph, record, live-stream, and use any session content for promotional and marketing purposes without prior notice or compensation.
• By registering, participants consent to the use of their name, likeness, and session footage by VAX and its partners/sponsors for promotional purposes.

LEGAL & REGULATORY COMPLIANCE

• Participants must comply with all applicable Malaysian laws and regulations, as well as all venue rules and regulations set by Taylor's University Lakeside Campus.

RIGHT OF ENFORCEMENT

• VAX reserves the right to take necessary action, including removal from the schedule or cancellation of participation, in the event of any rule violation, safety concern, or disruptive conduct.
• The Organiser is not obligated to disclose reasons for its decisions.
• No compensation or reimbursement will be provided for any losses resulting from such actions.
